- Compressor and Pump Drive Control: Ensures precise speed control for turbine-driven compressors and pumps.
- Process Industry Applications: Applied in chemical plants, refineries, and other industries requiring precise turbine operation.
- Safety and Protection Functions: Includes overspeed protection, critical speed avoidance, actuator travel limits, and event logging for operational safety.

Composition of DMA Controller
A DMA controller is actually an interface circuit between peripheral devices using DMA and the system bus. This interface circuit is composed of
an interrupt interface and a DMA mechanism. Traditionally, DMA interface circuits are referred to as DMA controllers.
Composition of DMA Controller
(1) Memory address counter: used to store the address of data to be exchanged in memory. Before DMA transfer, the starting position (first address)
of data in memory must be sent to the memory address counter through a program. When DMA transfers, for each data exchange, the address counter is
incremented by “1” to incrementally provide the address of the batch of data to be exchanged in memory.
(2) Word counter: used to record the length (number of words) of the transmitted data block. Its content is also pre-set by the program before data transmission,
and the number of exchanged words is usually represented in the form of complement codes. During DMA
transfer, the word counter increments by “1” for each word transferred. When the counter overflows and a carry is generated at the highest bit, it indicates
that the batch of data has been transferred, causing the DMA controller to issue an interrupt signal to the CPU.
(3) Data buffer register: used to temporarily store the data (one word) transferred each time. When input, it is sent to the data buffer register by the device
(such as a disk), and then sent to the memory through the data bus by the buffer register. On the contrary, when outputting, it is sent from memory to the data
buffer register through the data bus, and then to the device.
